Reduce Fluoride in your water supply to 98% (conditions pending)
Fluoride reduction is achieved through the use of Granulated Activated Alumina, a man made media which in the correct conditions uses the adsorption process to reduce fluoride to 98% and Arsenic to 90%
Fluoride removal Efficiency:
- 95-98%
Please note that the fluoride removal efficiency of an Activated Alumina Cartridge typically depends on variable factors such as water pH, fluoride concentration, contact time, and cartridge condition.
High efficiency (around 95-98%) can be achieved under optimal conditions, especially when the water pH is below 8.5.
Efficiency may decrease if the water has high alkalinity or other interfering ions, or if the cartridge becomes exhausted.
Maximum Flow rates for 100% Activated Alumina Cartridges:
- 3 LPM for Inline and 10" x 2.5" Cartridges.
- 6 LPM for 10" x 4.5" Cartridge
- 11 LPM for 10" x 4.5" Cartridge
Optimal Flow rates for 100% Activated Alumina Cartridges(for best chance of high removal):
- 2 LPM for Inline and 10" x 2.5" Cartridges.
- 4 LPM for 10" x 4.5" Cartridge
- 8 LPM for 10" x 4.5" Cartridge
Approx capacity (estimate to be used as a gauge only, and based on typical fluoride dosing in NZ municipal treated water.
- 2,500-3,500 Litres for Inline and 10" x 2.5" Cartridges.
- 5,000-7,500 Litres for 10" x 4.5" Cartridge
- 10,000-15,000 Litres 20" x 4.5" Cartridge
For a more exact measure of the cartridge effectiveness, we recommend regular testing of Filtered water.
