Description

Replacement 425mA Digital Ballast for T5 UV Lamps

The PureZone 425mA Digital UV Ballast is designed for standard-output T5 (4 Pin Even) UV-C lamps from 10W to 40W.

Suitable for use with many domestic and commercial UV water treatment systems, this generic electronic ballast provides reliable lamp operation together with a 365-day lamp-life countdown timer and audible lamp-failure warning.

The countdown timer starts at 365 days and counts down to remind you when the UV lamp is due for replacement.

It is suitable for many 425mA T5 4-pin UV lamps, making it a useful replacement option where the original ballast has failed but the UV chamber and lamp type remain in service.

  • Between 10W and 40W

  • Compatible with the supplied 4-pin lamp connection

Do not use with 800mA high-output UV lamps.

If you are unsure which ballast you require, contact us with the model number printed on your existing UV lamp or ballast.

Why Replace a Faulty Ballast?

A failing ballast can cause the UV lamp to flicker, underperform, or fail completely — leaving your water untreated. If your UV system is not disinfecting effectively, the ballast is often the culprit. Always replace with a compatible wattage-rated ballast.

How to Replace Your UV Ballast

  1. Turn off the UV system and disconnect power
  2. Turn off the water supply
  3. Remove the ballast cover
  4. Disconnect the lamp and power leads from the old ballast
  5. Install the new ballast and reconnect all leads
  6. Replace the cover, restore water supply, and power on
  7. Reset the 365-day countdown timer
  8. Verify the UV lamp is operating correctly
