Suitable for higher-flow domestic and commercial UV water treatment systems, this electronic ballast operates compatible 800mA T5 high-output lamps and features a built-in 365-day lamp replacement countdown timer.
The digital display counts down from 365 days, providing a convenient reminder when the UV lamp is due for annual replacement. An audible alarm also provides a warning in the event of lamp failure.
This ballast is suitable as a replacement for many UV systems using compatible 800mA, 4-pin T5 high-output UV lamps.

Puretec Applications
Puretec's later Hybrid G/R/P UV systems use an electronic ballast in the 800-900mA lamp-current range, including systems associated with the RL6 high-output T5 lamp.
This PureZone 800mA ballast is therefore in the appropriate electrical class for these applications; however, the lamp connection and lead configuration should be confirmed before replacing an original Puretec RES6 ballast.
This ballast is not intended as a replacement for the Puretec RES5 / Hybrid H ballast. The earlier Hybrid H / RES5 system operates in a higher lamp-current range.
Greenway Applications
Suitable for selected Greenway High Output UV systems using compatible 800mA T5 lamps.

Do not use this ballast with 425mA standard-output lamps or 1200mA high-output lamps.
Using an incorrect ballast can result in reduced UV output, premature lamp failure or damage to the lamp or ballast.

Why Replace a Faulty Ballast?
A failing ballast can cause the UV lamp to flicker, underperform, or fail completely — leaving your water untreated. If your UV system is not disinfecting effectively, the ballast is often the culprit. Always replace with a compatible wattage-rated ballast.
How to Replace Your UV Ballast
- Turn off the UV system and disconnect power
- Turn off the water supply
- Remove the ballast cover
- Disconnect the lamp and power leads from the old ballast
- Install the new ballast and reconnect all leads
- Replace the cover, restore water supply, and power on
- Reset the 365-day countdown timer
- Verify the UV lamp is operating correctly
