Replacement UV Lamp for Luminor Blackcomb RL-850 Systems

High-quality aftermarket UV replacement lamp designed to match the specifications of the Luminor RL-850 lamp used in selected Luminor Blackcomb UV water treatment systems.

Designed for germicidal UV water disinfection, this 42W lamp produces UV-C light at approximately 254nm. UV lamps should be replaced regularly even when they are still visibly glowing, as their effective UV output reduces with use.

Important – Luminor Lamp Key / LightLock Systems

Please check your controller before ordering.

Luminor Blackcomb 5.1 and 6.1 controllers use Luminor's Lamp Key / LightLock system. Genuine Luminor replacement lamps are supplied with a matching electronic lamp key which resets and authorises the controller.

This aftermarket replacement lamp does not include the Luminor electronic lamp key.

• Blackcomb 4.1: Uses a manual lamp timer reset and does not require a replacement lamp key.

• Blackcomb 5.1 and 6.1: Require a compatible lamp key for correct controller operation and lamp-life reset.

If your controller has a lamp key fitted into the side of it, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm suitability.

Why Replace Your UV Lamp Annually?

A UV lamp can continue to glow even after its effective germicidal UV output has declined. For reliable water disinfection, the lamp should be replaced according to the UV system manufacturer's recommended schedule.

For Luminor Blackcomb standard-output systems using the RL-850, the recommended lamp life is approximately 9,000 hours, which is roughly one year of continuous operation.

Replacing the Lamp

1. Disconnect the UV system from power.

2. Allow the existing lamp to cool.

3. Carefully disconnect and remove the old lamp.

4. Avoid touching the glass of the new lamp with bare hands — use clean gloves or a lint-free cloth.

5. Carefully insert the replacement lamp and reconnect the lamp plug.

6. Restore power.

7. Reset the lamp-life timer according to your Blackcomb controller instructions.

Never look directly at an operating UV-C lamp.
