Why Replace Annually?
UV lamps should be replaced every 12 months regardless of appearance. After one year of operation, UV output drops below the level required to effectively neutralise bacteria, viruses, and protozoa — even if the lamp is still glowing.
How to Replace Your UV Lamp
- Turn off the UV system and disconnect power
- Turn off the water supply
- Allow the lamp to cool for at least 5 minutes
- Carefully remove the old lamp — avoid touching the glass with bare hands
- Insert the new lamp and ensure pins are fully seated
- Reassemble, restore water supply, and power on
- Reset your system’s lamp timer if applicable
