Why Use UV-Resistant Seals?
Standard rubber O-rings and washers degrade rapidly under UV exposure, becoming brittle and losing their seal. This set uses Viton and UV-resistant nylon specifically formulated to maintain integrity in UV steriliser environments.
How to Replace
- Turn off the UV system and disconnect power
- Turn off the water supply
- Allow the system to cool for at least 5 minutes
- Remove the glass sleeve from the housing
- Remove the old O-ring and washer
- Clean the groove and seating surface thoroughly
- Apply a small amount of food-grade silicone grease to the new O-ring
- Seat the new O-ring evenly in the groove
- Place the new nylon washer in position
- Reinsert the glass sleeve and reassemble
- Restore water supply and power on
- Check for leaks
